Viron Health LLC ("Viron Health," "we," "our," or "us") offers a digital health platform through which users may request and obtain online consultations with licensed healthcare providers managed by Ovie Health Group (as Viron Health's contracted provider network).
Through Viron Health, users may receive telehealth consultations, treatment plans, at-home lab reviews, diagnoses, or prescriptions, when clinically appropriate, through partnered pharmacies. Services are provided online through secure telehealth communication methods including video, voice, chat, email, or other secure technologies.
Potential Benefits of Telehealth
- Access to medical care and health education without leaving home
- Private diagnosis and treatment at times more convenient to your schedule
- Potentially improved clinical outcomes and more affordable care
Potential Limitations of Telehealth
- Technical failures disrupting or distorting treatment information
- Sessions being interrupted or accessed by unauthorized persons
- Miscommunication between you and your provider
- Information being overheard by others near you
- Electronic communication being intercepted, forwarded, or altered without your knowledge
Additionally, regulatory requirements in your state, your medical history, or your presenting condition may limit your ability to obtain certain services or prescriptions. Telehealth may not provide sufficient information for an accurate diagnosis or treatment, and technology failures may disrupt services.
Responsibility to Maintain a Primary Care Provider
You are encouraged to consult your local primary care provider and other specialists as needed. Providers through our platform do not replace your local primary care physician or specialists. Maintaining a relationship with your primary care physician is required for care through Viron Health.
No Guarantee of Results
There is no guarantee that using Viron Health services or products will result in positive outcomes. Discuss alternative treatment options with your primary care physician or a qualified specialist before and during treatment. You must notify providers of any adverse effects or unexpected physical, mental, or emotional responses to treatment.
Insurance Use and Financial Responsibility
Viron Health does not accept insurance. You are financially responsible for services rendered. We do not participate in or accept Medicare, Medicaid, or Tricare insurance.
Services from Provider Network
Viron Health is not a medical group and does not provide medical advice or treatment. Telemedicine services through this platform are provided by independent licensed healthcare providers managed through Ovie Health Group. All care is the sole responsibility of the provider network and its providers.
Telehealth Acknowledgment
By accepting this Consent to Telehealth, you affirm that you:
- Understand and consent to receive medical care and treatment via telehealth from licensed providers managed by Ovie Health Group.
- Have read this Consent carefully and understand that telehealth may provide benefits but has inherent risks, and results cannot be guaranteed.
- Understand that all confidentiality protections under federal and state law apply, but certain mandatory or permissive disclosures may occur.
- Understand that providers may employ varying approaches to care, which you have the right to decline.
- Understand that providers may recommend medications for uses different from FDA-labeled indications, which you may refuse.
- Understand that affiliated providers supplement, but do not replace, your primary care provider.
- Understand that no guarantee of satisfactory results is provided.
- Understand that providers may determine your condition is inappropriate for telehealth, requiring in-person care.
- Understand that telehealth cannot provide urgent or emergent care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
- Understand that you have access to your health information in accordance with applicable laws.
- Agree to provide accurate and complete health information to providers.
- Consent to Viron Health and affiliated providers collecting, using, and sharing your information as permitted by law.
- Agree to hold harmless Viron Health LLC, the provider network, providers, partners, vendors, pharmacies, parent company, agents, and subsidiaries in the event of data compromise or delayed care resulting from platform technology failure.
- Understand that consent can be withdrawn at any time in writing by emailing [email protected]. Otherwise, consent renews with each telehealth consultation.
